In this episode of The MeG Podcast the team continue their look at one of the iconic periods of warfare in the Ancients/medieval period, The Hundred Years War.

As ever, the team have come up with some army lists for some of the participants. This time they are from lists other than the English and French, although they contain troops from both nations.

In this episode of The MeG Podcast the team follow on from last episode's subject of historical refights by looking at how they might refight a specific battle - in this case Dorylaeum, 1097 CE between the 1st Crusade and the Anatolian Turks.

Covering not just the well known Punic Wars, but also the history of Carthage before their conflict with Rome, the team discuss a number of army lists of what can be a tricky pair of lists to get a good army from.

For the first MeG Podcast of 2023 the team, plus special guests, look at the Nikephorian Byzantines - their history and army lists.
A popular army choice, but one that can be a bit tricky to get a list you like from. Hopefully the team give you something to help with this, or maybe not ...
Team regulars Matt, Richard and Nik were joined by Philip Powell and Jamie Mayers both of whom used Nikephorian Byzantine at the recent Ice & Fire competition. They bring their armies and experience to the podcast, and it is fair to say that one of their lists proved popular with the team.

Rather than get into some serious history and dubious army list suggestions the usual team plus guests Paul Cummins and Graham Klaka sit and chat about a few MeG related things.
So sit down, maybe grab a drink (Paul did) and listen to what the gang have to say about what they enjoyed in 2022, what they are looking forward to in 2023, and, amongst other things, why catafracts may be the best troops in MeG.
On a more practical level Graham shares some thoughts and information about 3D printing which will hopefully be of interest.
Apologies that Paul's audio came out a bit quiet; we did have some "Microsoft issues" on the night 😒

After an unplanned break since the last episode, the team returns refreshed to cast their eye over the history some of the armies of the Korean Three Kingdoms period.
In this episode Matt gives us an overview of the complex history of the Korean Three Kingdoms period - attempting to get the pronunciation of various Korean names right along the way.

The 25th and 26th June saw 23 MeG gamers gather at Battlefield Hobbies to take part in a Crusades-ish themed competition. There should have been 24 but a last minute health issue left uneven numbers which unfortunately meant there had to be a bye each round.
The team plus guests look back at the God Wills It competition and the armies they used, why they chose it and how they did with them.
